How do I book a session with you?

It’s easy — you just pick the package that fits your needs best, and I take it from there. I’ll help you choose a date, guide you through what to expect, and make the whole process simple.

How far in advance should I book?

Fall gets crazy busy, so most families book 2–3 months ahead, especially if you want a weekend.
For maternity sessions, please book during your mid–second trimester — don’t wait until the third, that’s my honest recommendation.
For newborns, the posed photos need to be done within the first two weeks of life. Lifestyle newborn sessions are more flexible.

Where do sessions take place?

You can choose a lifestyle session at home or any location around the Austin area. Whatever fits your family and the vibe you want.

How long does a session last?

Full sessions usually last 1–1.5 hours, but I’m not strict about time — I care about the final gallery. With active toddlers, I’ll put my all into getting the images, even if we need a few breaks or time to play.
Mini sessions are 30 minutes.

Do you help with posing?

Yes — but I guide rather than “pose.” I make it easy, fun, and natural. You’ll get a mix of classic, clean portraits and candid, artistic shots that are perfect for wall art.

How many images do we get?

The Petite Session comes with 20 edited images.
The other two sessions come with 40+ images — and honestly, I don’t hold a strict limit. I give you the whole story, which means I pick every good photo and hand-edit all of them to create one cohesive, beautiful gallery.
If you bring more people (extended family, more kids), you’ll naturally get more images.

Most families also love taking advantage of this by getting individual portraits of their kids — or even a few of themselves.

What should we wear?

I help you with that. You can send me outfit ideas, and I’ll guide you so that everything looks clean and cohesive.

Do you photograph kids who don’t like cameras?

Absolutely.
As a mom of four, there is nothing I haven’t seen. Honestly, about 70% of kids under age four do not want to cooperate, and that’s completely normal. I know how to work with that energy. Your child does NOT need to “behave” for us to get beautiful photos.

When will we get our photos back?

Usually within 1–2 weeks.
If you need your photos sooner, just let me know — I can usually work something out.

Do you offer refunds?

I require a 50% deposit to book your date. Your session can always be rescheduled — life happens, weather happens, and I get it.
But if you choose to cancel completely, the deposit is non-refundable.
